Arriving down under

After 23h of flying I already spent my first day here in Melbourne! It was great being back together with my former host-family!! their current AuPair picked me up at the metro station and we got along right away. thanks to him constantly talking with me, I managed to stay awake the whole time even though I'm up since 5am and I had just a few hours of sleep on the plane :/ I helped him picking up the boys from school and I'm glad it wasn't akward between me and them at all! I loved talking and playing with them!

The weather was mostly good, here & there some rain, but not more than 5-10min and it was all gone :) 20 degrees Celcius are feeling real nice, a little chilly when windy, but not bad at all! now I'm barely able to keep my eyes open, so it's time for me for bed ;) xx

Ready, steady....... GO!

So I'm already sitting at the gate in Zurich!
The last few days were fun, but a lot of stress.
I started packing last week and finished just a few hours ago ;)

My parents drove me to the airport and I had to hide some tears when saying goodbye! I know I will miss them like crazy, but also need to enjoy my trip to the fullest!

It was snowing the whole day, so I can't wait to arrive in Melbourne at 20 degrees Celcius and leave winter behind!

 

 

London calling

So before my adventure starts on March 26, my parents and I are going to London for the weekend! We will visit the annual Country Living Spring Fair. My sister started buying the magazine a few years ago and we've been to this fair last year as well and it's absolutely great! As the title says it's all about the country style and the designs are all very floral and vintage like.

I loved it last year and I'm surely going to enjoy it this year as well, because in one week I'll finally see my friend Vicky!! We've  met as AuPairs in America and menaged to stay friends ever since (thank you facebook ;))! I haven't seen her in 4 years, but since she moved closer to London a few months ago it's so much easier to meet up (even for a few hours)!

I can't tell you more just now, but as soon as I'm back I will write more and post pictures (if I can manage to blog next to packing my big bag for my trip ;))!!!
